Sunday, June 07, 2009 from 7:00 PM - 3:00 PM (CT)
This traditional Zen retreat (sesshin) involves intensive zazen (meditation), services, Teishos (dharma talks), Dokusan (private interviews with Teacher), samu work practice, body work and the "Practice of Immediacy".
This is a special sesshin as it is the concluding event to a 90 day Spring Ango training at the Empty Sound Temple. The last day of this retreat will conclude with a Shuso Ceremony, in which the Head Priest gives a Dharma Talk, and participants ask her questions (in the Zen tradition this is called "Dharma Combat").
This concluding Shuso Ceremony will take place at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 14th, and everyone is invited and welcome to come.
